Carey managing director, Jim Gilligan, and client director, Jessica Morris, have both been included among the top 20 professionals in Guernsey to feature in the Citywealth global Leaders List. This follows Jessica’s continuing inclusion in the Citywealth International Powerwomen Top 100 ranking for 2019, published earlier this month.
Each year Citywealth publishes its International Powerwomen Top 100 in recognition of women who are talented female wealth management professionals and power players within the international community.
With over 20 years’ experience in private wealth, Ms Morris leads the Carey team that partners with clients originating from the Gulf region. She helps them to navigate multijurisdictional law, rationalise and organise business and personal wealth structures and create innovative and robust plans for succession.
“I adore my profession and thank my peers and clients for their kind votes and comments which led to my inclusion in the Top 100 and in the Leaders List. Partnering with families to understand their history, interests, expertise and sense of desired legacy is an absolute privilege as is the opportunity to explore the culture, and history of the Gulf region,” said Jessica.
Jim, a long-standing member of the Leaders List, has also specialised in wealth management for over 20 years and travels widely across the UK, Europe and Middle East. One client credits Jim as a ‘leader in the private client space’ and another with his ‘boundless energy’ and for being ‘Robust, charming and a pleasure to work with’.
Jim, who was also nominated for the publication’s Trustee of the Year award this year, explained the factors that help drive Carey’s growth pattern: “For Carey, long-standing partnerships that enable co-creation to solve a range of scenarios form our approach and the expertise, passion and energy across our team are essential ingredients. We’re particularly proud of Jessica for her continued listing in the Top 100 and congratulate her heartily.”
